What is LOVE?

This is the traditional Chinese character for love.

Many of us would believe that we are all capable of loving and being loved in return. According to great scholars there are many different kinds of love. Some would say that love is forever. I just don't understand why sometimes forever could just be for a few days or months. If everyone loves, why is there so much chaos happening around? Is there a kind of love where people would love to see others suffer? Then I can say that love can be just an "idea" where people try to have but not everyone is lucky to receive it. We wanted to believe that love never ends but look at the people around us? Broken marriages, killing, lies, hunger, greed and more... Where's the love that everyone tries to claim that he's capable of giving and receiving? If everyone loves, then peace would not be impossible to attain.. IF ONLY!

08.08.08 What's with this Date?

Today is August 8, 2008 and I like this date. It's almost 3:00 AM and I'm still awake. I just wonder what would life be after a year? or perhaps this month. I really don't know what will happen next. If my visa would be approved then perhaps I'd still be in China by 2009. I don't want to think the opposite. I just know that things will be different. If I would be China, where would I go next? I have a lot of questions about my sudden change of direction. Am I ready to explore the world? One thing I'm sure of is that I'm going to miss everyone, my family, friends and I'm not sure if I'm going to miss my MA class which I'm about to give up. Life is really unpredictable, it gives something when we least expect it. I'm leaving for good!

"If Everyone Cared" NICKELBACK

I like this song and video. I hope people will stop being greedy and start caring.

From underneath the trees, we watch the sky
Confusing stars for satellites
I never dreamed that you'd be mine
But here we are, we're here tonight

Singing Amen, I, I'm alive
Singing Amen, I, I'm alive

[Chorus:]
If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
Then we'd see the day when nobody died

And I'm singing

Amen I, Amen I, I'm alive
Amen I, Amen I, Amen I, I'm alive

And in the air the fireflies
Our only light in paradise
We'll show the world they were wrong
And teach them all to sing along

Singing Amen, I, I'm alive
Singing Amen, I, I'm alive
(I'm alive)

[Chorus x2]

And as we lie beneath the stars
We realize how small we are
If they could love like you and me
Imagine what the world could be

If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
Then we'd see the day when nobody died
When nobody died...

[Chorus]

We'd see the day, we'd see the day
When nobody died
We'd see the day, we'd see the day
When nobody died
We'd see the day when nobody died

Question about bringing liquid when traveling abroad via airplane

I'm just curious about airport liquid rules when traveling abroad. So I decided about posting my question in yahoo answer. After a few minutes I received some excellent answers from yahoo users.

Question: Are we allowed to bring lotion, shampoo, toothpaste, cologne, perfume and other liquid when traveling abroad?
( I plan to travel to China and South Korea and I just wonder if there are restrictions about bringing liquid abroad. Please help! Thanks)

Answers:
" If you are referring to airplane travel, all liquids must be 3 oz or less. This includes shampoo, toothpaste, lotion, cologne, and any other liquids. The only exceptions are baby formula. Then, of course, you must have a baby with you. For any other airline restrictions, just type in "TSA" and it will give you a complete run down on what not to bring." -Time Travler-

"In your carry-on, yu can have one 1 qt. size zip lock bag and put as many 3 oz bottles of liquids in it as will fit. in your checked luggage you can have any size liquis you want...but they will be heavy. Why not just buy them when you get there...I am sure they are avail."

-Charlie-

"If ever you are not sure, just put in in your check-in baggage. There everything (except illegal stuff like drugs) is allowed. Restrictions and problems will only occur with hand-carriage. Perfume and liquid soap etc will be confiscated!" -Patrick Nestler- (comments)

on all the airlines i have been on its been 100 ml bottles or less only, i have bought as big as 200 ml without questions though. just display them in a clear zip lock bag, oh and you can also take whatever you want in your check in luggage. the problem is the hold is not well pressurized so bottles may pop open so put each bottle in its own ziplock in your check in luggage (they can be any size)-jjj-

Guys, thank you so much for answering my question. Your answers are very helpful.

What is the Hardest Word to Say?

I heard from famous songs that the hardest word to say, is "Sorry".
Perhaps for others it's true, they may find it hard to say the word. For me, saying these two words doesn't seem to be difficult at all. It's easy to acknowledge my mistakes and sincerely ask for forgiveness to someone. It feels good if I say I'm sorry and the person would say, that's okay. What is so hard for me is saying this single word, the word that really leaves so much pain. the word where we always say when someone goes away. It breaks my heart to utter this single word specially if it meant that I won't be seeing the person for quite some time.
I hate to say this word. I just want to say hello, but not Goodbye! :( Sometimes I think it's better that to see people go or it's better not to tell people that we are leaving. I just don't want the scene...I'm really sorry if I won't say goodbye!
