Everything Happens for a REASON "Ecclesiastes 3:1"

We do our best...
We give more than what we are expected to do...
We expect the best and disregard the worst...

But when the worst happens we try to put the blame to something or someone and sometimes we don't find any reasons why it happens. Sometimes, we see the unfairness in life... and as I see it, that's the reality of life. Things don't always happen the way we wanted them to be. No matter how good people are, they become the victims of an unjust circumstances. But then, we have a lot of choices, as Spiderman says "Life offers a lot of choices" with this we can have two choices, FIRST is to complain about life and SECOND is to live and accept the fact that life is never simple and it's always unpredictable.
I may not see the reason now, but someday I'll know. With this, I would like to share the different version of Ecclesiastes 3:1.

Loving is Giving and Giving is Loving

"Thank God It's Friday"!

Honestly, I hate Fridays. Since I started working as a part time ESL Instructor I don't get enough sleep during Fridays. It's the day when I only have 3 or 4 hours sleep. Sometimes I feel oblige to attend the school's recognition if I have a student who would graduate, but most of the time I would just rush home after 12 noon and would try to catch few hours of sleep.
Today, is just the best Friday I ever had with SME faculty, staff and students. We went to Tejero social hall for the school Outreach Program. They had assigned 2 kids ( Heinz and Win ) whom I should take care and guide. The kids are cute and so quiet. I assisted them in various Parlor Games such as sack race, maria went to town and news paper dance. I could see that everyone was happy. Korean students were also having fun. They hugged the kids and took some pictures with them.
A fast food mascot arrived and kids were really excited to touch him and dance with him. I was so happy watching kids enjoying so much.
Seeing children smile makes me smile. They are so innocent and I just hope that these kids would turn out to be responsible people someday. :)

A Business Idea- What's in a Name?

Sunday, August 19, 2207. My friends and I had a meeting.
We came up with an idea that we are going to start a business, an online ESL teaching.
We're glad that we found a Korean partner so it would be easier to look for students from Korea.
Now, all of us are trying to figure out the name of this business.
Tony wants it to be a funny name.
I still can't think of any. :)

"DATING TIPS" Secret of Women

David Wygant Special to Yahoo! Personals Updated: Jul 10, 2007

Over the last 10 years of coaching men, I have been asked time and time again to come up with a list of the best secrets for meeting, approaching and attracting great women.

Well, guys, there is no magic pickup line that will work in every situation, but there are guidelines that will help you understand a woman better, so you can be more successful in making a connection.

For those of you interested in being successful with women for the rest of your lives, take note of these simple things that will help you understand women far better than you do now.

10 secrets you need to know

  1. All women like surprises; women believe they should be surprised at least once a month.
  2. All women have fantasies. A man should take the time to find out her fantasy.
  3. Women want a man to

“be sensitive yet fight for them”

be sensitive yet fight for them if they needed to.

  1. Women want a man to be gentle and rough at the same time.
  2. Women want to be told they're beautiful, then after a time told they're sexy.
  3. Women want their man to notice when another man tries to pick them up, but refrain from jealousy.
  4. Women will alter their appearance with a new hairstyle or buy something skimpy for themselves, not a man.
  5. A woman will groom herself that day if there is a chance for her to meet someone that night.
  6. Women believe in the fairytale and will look at most men in the first 30 seconds as if they could be the prince they have been looking for.
  7. If a woman really likes a man, she will spend all day trying to look good for him and still not feel perfect, yet at times she will not be made up and feel perfect.

10 ways make yourself attractive to woman

  1. Be confident in who you are.
  2. Have a sense of humor.
  3. Show good manners.
  4. Be respectful.
  5. Be controversial.
  6. Be sensitive.
  7. Ask her what she wants and likes.
  8. Don't just tell her you do, but put your trust in her.
  9. Tell her about one time your feelings got hurt.
  10. Kiss her softly, then kiss her passionately.

7 sure-fire ways to repulse a woman

  1. Tell her what you don't want her to wear.
  2. Look at another woman while talking to her.
  3. Show her that you have no direction in your life.
  4. Be too proud of your qualities.
  5. Drink too much or have a serious addiction.
  6. Insult her style, friends or family.
  7. Use stupid pickup lines like: "Do you want to have sex?" "Can I smell your roses?" "Baby, that's the sweetest butt I've ever seen!" "Hey you, come here!"

The best pickup line

Observe what she is doing, then walk over and have a conversation about what is going on at that moment. For example, she is in the video store and looking at "The Departed." You can either ask her about the movie and what she knows about it, or if you saw it you can say, "Loved that movie...." and start the conversation from there.

Good luck!

25 THINGS A SISTA SHOULD NEVER APOLOGIZE FOR

1. Never apologize for pursuing what makes you happy. Even if you need to quit your job, transfer schools, or move across country, always do what you really want.

2. Never apologize for using proper English. Keeping it real doesn't mean speaking Ebonics.

3. Never apologize for giving your best in a relationship that just didn't work out.

4. Never apologize for being successful. Only haters want to keep you at their level.

5. Never apologize for crying. Wear waterproof mascara and express yourself.

6. Never apologize for ten pounds you need to lose. People who truly care about you will accept you as you are.

7. Never apologize for being frugal. Just because you save your money instead of blowing it on the latest fashion emergency doesn't mean you're cheap.

8. Don't apologize for being a single Mom. Babies are a blessing.

9. Never apologize for treating yourself to something special. Sometimes you have to show yourself some appreciation.

10. Never apologize for leaving an abusive relationship. Your safety should always be a priority.

11. Never apologize for keeping the ring even if you did not get married.

12. Never apologize for setting high standards in a relationship. You know what you can tolerate and what simply gets on your nerves.

13. Never apologize for saying NO.

14. Never apologize for asking for what you want in bed. If you don't, then who will?

15. Never apologize for wearing a weave or braids. You bought it so it's yours.

16. Never apologize to your new friends about old friends. There's a reason she's been your girl from day one.

17. Never apologize for ordering dessert or more than one dessert.

18. Never apologize for dating outside your race. Just because you found Mr. Right across the color line doesn't mean you don't love your brothas.

19. Never apologize for demanding respect. You are to always be treated as a queen.

20. Never apologize for not knowing how to cook. Even if you can't burn like Grandma you know how to order good take out. (Right Girl!)

21. Never apologize for your taste in clothes. It's your style.

22. Never apologize for changing your mind, it is your prerogative.

23. Never apologize for making a decision from your heart, even if others don't agree. You have to live with the consequences not them.

24. Never apologize for making more money than your man, you work hard and you deserve to get paid. 25. Never apologize for being you!

KEEP YOUR HEAD UP AND KEEP MOVING FORWARD" ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT GOD LOVES YOU AND HE ALWAYS GOT YOUR BACK

why?

if money doesn't grow on trees, then who banks have branches? why does a round pizza comes in a square box? why does a glue stick to its bottle? why do you still call it a buidling when it's already built? if it's true that we are here to help others, what are others here for? if you aren't supposed to drink and drive, why do bars have parking lots???

7 Steps to Unleash Dynamic Energy

adapted

Do these Things to Release Dynamic Energy:

1. Set some goal for yourself that you are trying to achieve.

Make that goal big enough so that it will excite your imagination and arouse tremendous interest. Your energies will rise in proportion to the needs you have. If you have a goal to make only fifty dollars a week, it is not a very inspiring goal. If you push that goal and set a figure such as two hundred and fifty dollars a week, instantly your subconscious mind will release the dynamic energy and the dynamic ideas to make it possible to achieve the larger sum.

2. Have some person or persons in your life that you are trying to help.

This can be your own mate, your children, your mother and father; whatever it is that you are trying to do for others unselfishly will automatically give you greater energy and more stamina to endure and persist. If you live just for yourself, it is unlikely that you will have more than just enough life-force to exist. Florence Nightingale was the first woman in history to go out into battle to help nurse soldiers. She freed womankind from the restrictions of their sex, and created a new and honorable profession for women. This frail woman was so inspired by her desire to help the sick, that it gave her tremendous energy and vitality.

3. Find work that you really enjoy doing.

And if you happen to be in work you despise get out of it as soon as possible. Nothing will so quickly lower the curve of energy as being in work you detest. It has even been known to make some people chronically sick because they are constantly frustrated. This restricts the glandular action of the body and depresses the body organs. But if you are in work you love, your body cells sing with joy and health and energy, they are stimulated, so that you constantly feel good.

4. Have hobbies that give you pleasure as well as relaxation.

Dynamic energy is created when your mind is interested in doing something. It is vitally important that you have avocations as well as a vocation. The moments you give to painting, writing poetry or stories, modeling in clay, stamp collecting, rug weaving or whatever hobby you indulge, are moments well spent, for they will serve to release energy which will make your regular work easier and less boring.

5. If you are not already in love with someone, fall in love as quickly as you can.

Nothing helps release dynamic energy so quickly and potently as being in love. Science is now aware of the importance of this powerful emotion in our lives. Children thrive and are healthy when loved. When denied love they are sickly and lacking in energy and interest. Later, we shall learn more about this powerful emotion, for it is one of the big and important revelations of our Million Dollar Secret.

6. Set daily goals for yourself that you are trying to achieve.

If you are a salesman, set a certain number of sales. If an author, set a certain number of pages you wish to write. If a student, a certain course of study which you do regularly. It has been found that the mind responds to the challenge of direct suggestion. If you know you are going to play eighteen holes of golf, the body and brain see to it that the necessary energy and drive are created to carry you through that course. If a prize fighter builds himself up mentally to take on a certain opponent, his body will release the energy to carry him into that ring facing formidable opposition. As you achieve these small goals at first, keep raising the level of your goal, until you have reached a high peak of energy and achievement.

7. Each day, when you start your activities, say a series of suggestions that will be energy-boosters to your subconscious mind.

Here are a few you might memorize and repeat every day when you feel the need of inspiration or greater mental or physical energy.

  • I am strong and healthy.
  • I can accomplish anything I desire.
  • I am young and vital, and my body now responds with new energy and vitality to do all my tasks today.
  • I am happy, happy, happy.
  • I find joy in my work and my life sparkles with interest and happiness.
  • I have faith in myself, my work and my destiny.
  • I now extend this faith to the entire world.
  • I am successful, well-liked, and attract friends to myself.
  • I now radiate confidence, poise and inner power.
  • I love everyone I meet, and they will in turn love me.
  • I am rich as any millionaire; with gifts of mental and physical health, free estates of parks, and the golden gifts of friendship, love, peace, happiness and beauty
Whenever you feel tired or discouraged, or your energy is low, just stop whatever you are doing, breathe deeply for ten or fifteen times, say all of the above energy-boosters, and really mean them, then you will see how quickly your mind recovers its sharpness, and your body becomes filled with new energy and vitality.

The Mouse Trap Story

adapted

MOUSE TRAP STORY. AND IT IS ANIMATED WITH A MORAL AT THE END" This is excellent...

A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package.

What food might this contain? The mouse wondered - he was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.

Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning :
There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!

The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, "Mr.Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me." " I cannot be bothered by it."
The mouse turned to the pig and told him, "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"

The pig sympathized, but said, I am so very sorry, Mr. Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray.

"Be assured you are in my prayers."
The mouse turned to the cow and said "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"

The cow said, "Wow, Mr. Mouse. I'm sorry for you, but it's no skin off my nose."
So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer's mousetrap alone.

That very night a sound was heard throughout the house -- like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey.

The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught.

The snake bit the farmer's wife. The farmer rushed her to the hospital , and she returned home with a fever.

Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's main

ingredient.

But his wife's sickness continued, so friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock.

To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig.

The farmer's wife did not get well; she died.

So many people came for her funeral, the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.
The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness.

So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it doesn't concern you, remember -- when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk.

We are all involved in this journey called life. We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another.

SEND THIS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS EVER HELPED YOU OUT AND LET THEM KNOW HOW IMPORTANT THEY ARE.

REMEMBER,,,,

EACH OF US IS A VITAL THREAD IN ANOTHER PERSON'S TAPESTRY;

OUR LIVES ARE WOVEN TOGETHER FOR A REASON.

One of the best things to hold onto in this world is a friend

Remember:

"A good friend will
come bail you
out of jail....

But a true friend will be sitting next to you
saying WE screwed
up, but we had fun!"

I've learned....
That life is like a
roll of toilet paper.
The closer it gets
to the end, the
faster it goes.

I've learned....
That we should be
glad God doesn't
give us everything
we ask for.

I've learned.... That money doesn't
buy class.

I've learned...that it's those small daily
happenings that make life so spectacular.

I've learned...
That under everyone's
hard shell is someone
who wants to be
appreciated
and loved.

I've learned....
That the Lord didn't
do it all in one day
What makes me
think I can?

I've learned ....
That to ignore the
facts does not
change the facts.

I've learned....
That the less time
I have to work,
the more things
I get done.

How to be satisified?

adapted

if you think you are unhappy, look at them

if you think your job is tough, how about him?

if you think your salary is low, how about her?

If you think you don't have many friends, ask yourself if you have one sincere friend.

you think study is a burden, how about her?

when you feel like giving up, think of this man

if you think you suffer in life, do you suffer as much as he does?

if you complaint about your transport system, how about them?

if your society is unfair to you, how about her?

Sheddi
ng Light On Ourselves
Parts That Don't Want To Heal
In almost every
case, we know what is best for us in our lives, from the relationships we c
reate to the food we eat. Still, somewhat mysteriously, it is often difficu
lt to make the right choices for ourselves. We find ourselves hanging out w
ith someone who leaves us feeling drained or choosing to eat fast food over
a salad. We go through phases where we stop doing yoga or taking vitamins,
even though we feel so much better when we do. Often we have no idea why w
e continue to make the less enlightened choice, but it is important that we
inquire into ourselves to find out.

When we choose that which is not
best for us, the truth can be that there is a deep seated part of us that d
oes not want to heal. We may say it's because we don't have the time or
the energy or the resources, but the real truth is that when we don't ta
ke care of ourselves we are falling prey to self-sabotage. Self-sabotage ha
ppens unconsciously, which is why it's so difficult to see that we are do
ing it. The important thing to realize is that this very part of us that re
sists our healing is the part that most needs our attention and love. Even
as it appears to be working against us, if we can simply bring it into the
light of our consciousness, it can become our greatest ally. It carries the
information we need to move to the next level in our healing process.

When we recognize that we are not making healthy choices, we might even
say out loud, "I am not taking care of myself." Sometimes this is the jolt we need to wake up to what is actually happening. Next we can sit ourselves down in meditation, with a journal, or with a trusted friend to explore the matter more thoroughly. Just shining the light of our awareness on the source of our resistance is sometimes enough to dispel its power. At other times, further effort is required. Either way, we need not fear these parts that do not want to heal. We only need to take them under our wing and bring them with us into the light.

"I JUST CAN"T UNDERSTAND MEN"

Adapted

If you smile at him, he thinks you're flirt.
If you don't, he thinks you're a snob.
If you look at him, he thinks you got a crush on him;
If you don't, he thinks you don't give a damn.

If you're so simple, he'll wish you were a little sexy.
If you're sexy, he thinks you're sweeter when simple.
....to be continued

"That Creature Called WOMAN"

Adapted

If you're well dressed, she thinks you're a playboy;
If you're not, she thinks you're rugged.
If you kiss her, you're not a gentleman,
If you don't, you're not a man.

If you're praising her, she thinks you're lying;
If you don't, you're good for nothing.
If you agree for all her likes, she's abusing;
If you don't, you're not understanding.

If you make romance, your're an experienced man;
If you don't, you're half-man.
If you visit her often, you're boring;
If you don't, she accuses you of double-crossing.

If you're a minute late, she complains it's hard to wait;
If you come on time, for hours she makes you wait.
If you propose love within bried acquintance, you're a fresh guy;
If you postpone it till late, she wonders why.

If you fail to assist her in crossing the street, you lack ethics;
If you do, she thinks it's man's tactics.
If you're jealous, she says it's bad;
If you're not, she doubts your love and doesn't like it.

If you attempt a romance, she says you don't respect her;
If you don't, she says you don't like her.
If you listen, she wants you to talk;
If you talk, she wants you to listen.

If you kiss her always, you're abusing.
If you kiss her once in a while, she says you're cold and nothing.
If you contradict her, she does not like it;
If you don't, she thinks you're gullible.

Oh! Thou art so simple...
Yet so complex to understand...
So weak yet proven conqueror...
So confusing but so desirable...

SME Friday Madness

Today was a great day for me at SME Academy ( Sam-Sung Multi English ). I joined the recognition and it was a emotional. As expected I had my short moment of sadness. It was a recognition for Korean students who finished their study program. Instead of being happy, it seemed that everyone was sad since the students were crying while some of the Instructors offered a song. For me, it's so easy about meeting people, saying hello, getting to know...well, it's too easy, but saying goodbye....oh no! it's never easy and never will be...
I'm happy that the teachers made a difference in the lives of those students. They might not see each other again, but they they have great memories together.
For me I don't know what lies ahead. I'm still one week old in this profession. I don't know if my student would stay with me or transfer to another teacher. Whatever his decision will be, I won't promise that I won't be hurt, but I would understand him.
These are some of the pictures taken this wonderful day! It's Friday at SME!

This is Tonin, my co-teacher. He's my roommate, he uses the classroom in the morning and I'm in the afternoon class. My Part time job!
