The Husband Store

Today I had a great discussion with Mr. Kim during our 1 hour class. We used the story, "The Husband Store". It's a fiction that talks about a husband store in New York. Women who are searching for husbands would go and shop inside the store. Every floor has a different displays, and as you go up the attributes or characteristics of the men would increase. For example, on the first floor you would fine this characteristics, " Men who loves kids and love the Lord." Each floor that you visit there is an additional attribute until you reach to the 6th floor, which is the last. As we continued the discussion, I noticed that the displays in the first floor are already perfect, but I was curious of what is in the next floor. So I didn't settle for the men who love kids and love the Lord. Now, the woman who was shopping in the story didn't stop in the fifth floor but on the sixth floor. Guess what? There are no husband displays in the last floor. It just displays the number of visitors that reached to the top and there is no way of going back to choose for a husband in the previous floors. The ending of the story proves how hard it is to please women and they'll end up with nothing. Well, the story doesn't only apply to all the women who are choosy. Isn't it that it that insatiability is a human nature? Therefore we couldn't blame women for being so picky and taking chances that something better is coming. I could have fun going on all the floors just "window shopping", since I am not planning to buy one. I would just love to check what are the features and if there are some benefits. We can't really see the benefits if we are only going to look for the features. Therefore the only way to know it is to try. This is life, everything is uncertain and we need to take a risk. We don't have to worry that the store will run out of stocks since there are many options in life, we can go somewhere and perhaps the offer would be good with some discounts! hahaha It was just funny since the student put me in the situation where I had to shop for a husband...and honestly I was suprised. I didn't imagine myself going into that store and buying a husband, well if credit cards would be accepted then perhaps I'll get one, payable for 1 year and with return and exchange warrantly.
