Sinulog Festival is one of the biggest celebrations here in Cebu City. People from different cities and provinces traveled just to witness the event. Basilica del Sto. Niño is too crowded that it seems impossible to go inside and light a candle. The celebration is a religious event for Catholic people in honor of the Child Jesus, Niño. These pictues I have posted below show the different performances from the different participants. All I can say is that the event was great. My only concern is, this celebration is becoming commercialized. Businessmen are taking advantage of this event and some industries just participated the event to be recognized. They made beautiful floats and hired models. I just wonder if they still feel the true spirit of the celebration. To all the dancers, congratulations, you have done a great job even if it rained.
This blog is about all the beautiful things around me and things I am grateful for every day. Some entries are my personal stories, positive experiences in life, Bible verses, excerpts from books, movies, songs, inspirational videos, articles, essays, a voice within, TV shows, places and people I love, and my BIG dreams. My blog entries will include anything under the bright sun, the shimmering moon, and the sparkling stars! I hope I can inspire you in my little way. Please leave a comment! -AR
