Tempura

A street tempura vendor was busy preparing tempura for my mother and friend. This is a mobile store, the vendor would usually push the cart and stop where there are many people. He could also park the cart near the schools. This photo reminds me of my university life. My friends and I used to spend few minutes outside the gate to enjoy a stick of tempura. Every time I see a man pushing a tempura cart, I would stop for a moment and wish I were back in my hometown where life was so simple. All I had to do was study hard so I could maintain the general average required by the scholarship office. But in spite of the pressure I still cherish the memories I had. Many things happened and I survived. Thanks to the tempura vendor, he was one of the reasons why I would look forward to every end of my class so I could taste the spicy tempura and while walking home together with my friends. I appreciate these people who find ways on how to survive in a developing country. This is one of the best example that people would not experience hunger by doing a decent job. I hate to see people who live to beg, and others spend their entire lives blaming the government why they are so poor. I hope that people will wake up and start working instead of blaming the president. A tempura is not just a tempura. The man could earn as much as 500 pesos a day. So instead of being stuck in a four walled corner receiving 200-300 pesos a day, wake up! Make a difference! start something small and if you're serious enough this small would become something great!
